- Scale Rating
- Can be accessed by clicking on the abacus icon
- Scale rating breaks down the shipment charges into a minimum charge and CWT rates (100 weight rates) by weight break.
- This feature is ideal shipments with unknown weight
- To calculate your rate, take the total weight and divide it by 100. Take the result and multiply it by the weight break rate (CWT rate)
- Using the Shipco BOL
- Pickups where documents are required, require 24-hour notice
- Carriers require a 24-hour window for any CFS/Airport/Warehouse pickups in which the driver must take paperwork in hand at time of pickup.
- Shipco’s cut off is 1:30pm local time to attempt to get the paperwork to the carrier.
- Carrier’s cut off for delivery orders (DO) is 2pm – local time.
- Shipco will attempt to dispatch any shipments sent after 1:30pm but cannot guarantee the carrier will be successful at recovering the cargo. Any pickups the carrier cannot complete will be scheduled for the next business day.
- A minimum two-hour pickup window is required for same-day pickup
- Must be provided to the carrier
- Shipco’s BOL contains the information the carrier needs to properly rate and handle the shipment
- It is the shipper’s responsibility to tender the correct and all freight listed on the BOL
- Additional charges may be incurred if it is not (e.g. reconsignment, BOL correction fee, increased freight charges)up and delivery fees will apply
- PODs and Invoices will be available under the Documents drop-down after delivery
- Duplicating a Shipment
- Basic shipment data will be duplicated into the new shipment
- Verify shipment details (e.g. accessorials) and reference numbers prior to saving
